Kind gentlemen (and ladies?),

Does anyone have any information concerning which seat panels in Special Edition bucket seats are supposed to be leather and which are supposed to be vinyl?

Now know that "standard" CRXA color vinyl seat skins were mis-installed in the car at the factory instead of the correct SE vinyl with leather inserts which the car should have.  What a bite! Legendary Interiors has correct NOS skins, which occasionally go on sale for ~$1,000 a set and which I am considering installing.  Keep it original or make it correct, per the fender tag/build sheet/window sticker?  I guess I'll seriously start worrying about it when enough cash shows up to do it...

I have new legendary leather. I have to say I'm a bit surprised at the rate of wear. I only have 4,000 miles on it since resto in 2010 and the drivers seat is starting to wear a bit. Passenger seat still looks like new since rarely used. Drivers side still looks very good but to my eyes I am surprised at the wear already on drivers bottom section. Maybe I should go on a diet

For the price of the SE seats versus the regular ones it is insane to think they would wear that fast....

The pleated sections where your bottom & lower back touch the seat.
The sections pointed out with yellow arrows look to be leather, it will not pull/stretch like the vinyl sections. Having different views here, I will need to recheck them , sometimes I overlook things. I'll have to use the Scratch and Sniff Technique.
Some of the leather sections are worn, scratched, or torn, a lot of seat time back in the day. Looks like the rear vinyl seat held up much better to wear . My Mother worked in the Hanover Shoe Factory back in the Days (1939) and she stills says that they do not make Cows today like they use to.
As with the wearing of the newer/todays leather seats, leather has two sides, a softer inside and a tougher outer side, depends what side was used for the finished side of the product may explain why it wears sooner then expected.

Confirmed all sections marked with yellow arrows are leather.
Orange arrows, vinyl.
White arrows, hard shell back.
